Color Cameras

Some what affordable

There are hundreds of choices of cameras to choose from. I've bought and returned about 5 different 4K cameras until I found the ones I needed for my skywatching solution. The cameras below all have HDMI output so you can attach them to a flatscreen monitor.

P900

Nikon COOLPIX P900
83X Optical Zoom
HD Recording
Price range: $500

P1000

Nikon COOLPIX P1000
125X Optical Zoom
4K Recording
Price range: $1000

The 3000mm optical zoom lets you focus on your subject with detail and clarity this camera will get awesome shots of the moon or anything very far away. If you get a UAP infront of you and can manage to zoom in on it, you should be able to tell if it's a Earth bound object or a real UAP.
Pros of both Nikons: The zoom is the best on the market for the money in a small package. Both cameras also have HDMI live pass through so you can watch it live on a large 4K monitor. The cameras have the possibility to record the smoking gun even if the object is a distance away.
Cons of both Nikons: Only 30 minute recording ability, can't record continuously on the SD card. Trying to zoom in any small UAP type of objects is very hard in the flip out screen in the daytime. The Android software seems crippled on purpose has very limited abilities of what it could do.

Higher end professional grade

Gh5

Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5
12mm - 300 mm Optical Zoom
Mirrorless
4K Recording
Price range: $1300

This camera is one of the best on the market if you can afford it. It has a built in stabilizer and will take professional photos. The camera supports interchangeable-Lens lens that are an additional cost that can easily double or triple the cost of the camera. The camera can also record at bit rates that will eat up drive space. So factor in spending a ton of money on expensive SD cards or getting a Atmos Ninja 5V with a solid state drive to record to. A single SD card that costs around $200 (at the time of this writing ) might only save 90 minutes.

Sonya73

Sony A7iii
12mm - 300 mm Optical Zoom
Mirrorless
4K Recording
Price range: $2000

This camera is one of the best on the market if you can afford it. The camera has a full frame and supports interchangeable-Lens lens that are an additional cost.

Z Cam

Z CAM E2C Professional 4K Cinema Camera
12mm - 300 mm Optical Zoom
4/3" sensor
4K Recording
Price range: $800

I tried this camera out and returned it. I couldn't get many of the things on it to work with my system. But if you already have a bunch of micro 4/3 lens because you own a GH5. Then those lens also work with this camera. It's a new camera out and has promise and its very small. This camera has an assortment of various options the cameras above don't support.

Blackmagic

Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K
12mm - 300 mm Optical Zoom
4/3" sensor
4K Recording
Price range: $1300

This camera I recently picked up, it has no rear LED screen or a place to record, so you'll need a Ninja recorder or something like that if you want to save your files. It also can record on a professional level like the other cameras. This camera can be controlled over SDI connectors.

There is a huge list of cameras you can look at doing a search. The list I have made is for smaller sized cameras that also record in 4K. The larger the camera the larger the tripod needed, the larger the PTZ needed. Many of the 4K rigs out there are just too large and expensive to find a proper rig and everything you want with what you can afford.
