The Chronicles of the Phoenix Lights

Five years before the 'Phoenix Lights' the same thing happened and was recorded on video but it barely made a blip on the news. It wasn't until after 1997 the people who recorded this video contacted Village Labs about what they knew.
Two huge UFOs described as Triangle of 7-9 lights are recorded by a husband and wife in Ahwatukee, Arizona. It was heading from North to South and seems to be what everyone described at 8:30 on March 13, 1997 that wasn't documented well enough.

March 12, 1997

Orange Orbs are recorded south of Ahwatukee, Arizona by Steve Blonder from 8-10 PM. The gets on the internet and starts looking for UFO researchers

Terry Proctor in Carefree, Arizona records the only footage of the large Boomerang flying from North to South near I-17. What most people are unaware of is he has been recording the Orange orbs behind South Mountain for months. Terry would stay out and later recorded the 2nd event at 10 PM also.

Terry Proctor in Carefree, Arizona who just recorded the Vee fly over goes back to recording amber orbs he's been recording for several months. Terry documents what happens looking towards the south of Phoenix valley for the next hour. More amber orbs before the famous 9 lights in an arch would be recorded later at 10 PM.

There said to be 5th video shot at 10 PM by Dr. Lynne Kitei. However this footage has never been authenticated to be really from that night. It has never been shown in it's entirety on the internet and it's copyrighted, even after 2 decades. I've never seen it.

Actor Kurt Russel was flying his son Oliver on a small aircraft he was piloting and landing at Skyharbor when he saw the Phoenix Lights.

Mike Krzyston in Moon Valley, Arizona had seend these lights on and off for a while. He spotted and amber orb earlier that many saw between 8-9 PM. He got his camera out and was ready when the famous 9 lights powered on and off while he captured it all on tape.

Tom King and Bill Hamilton arrive at Steve Blonders house. They record 2 events, one orange orb south of them at 9:45 and the main event of the string of lights appearing and disappearing.

The next day the local news hears about the sighting and scrambles to find facts and videos. Mass confusion about what and exactly how big was the UFO sighting, or sightings that night.

The local news still kept the story alive. They report the MIB stole a video from Richard Curtis who recorded the large Vee.

Paranormal TV News show "Strange Universe" on the UPN network is the to broadcast the Phoenix Lights story to a national audience. To locals Phoenix witnesses of this sighting it seemed like a national news blackout that refused to talk about the biggest UFO case in US history.

Peter Jennings also decided to cover Tim Ley family the sametime Fox 10 did, despite the fact Peter is on the ABC network and it competes with Fox. Somehow they found out about the Ley's at the same time??? Media coordinate or lack there of became very apparent to the investigators on this case.

Dan Rather plays the Phoenix Lights video as a top story 6 months after it happened. For some reason our independent free press all decided on the same day to run a UFO story nationally. Then waves of TV shows started to cover the Phoenix Lights.

Art Bell's Coast to Coast show he has on the two prinicple Phoenix Lights investigators Jim Dilettoso and Richard Motzer. Richard now changes his theory and says it's a flare drop and Dr. Lynne Kitei never recorded anything at all during the Phoenix Lights 10 PM event.
October 15, 1997

The Discovery Channel airs its 1 hour special. An Anomity of a Sighting and its some of the first national coverage of the events.
December, 1997 7 PM

Ted Loman ends does his last UFO AZ Talks public access show on the Phoenix Lights case.
